Past Studies

Erica Stevenson got her BA in Classical Civilisation from New York University. Since graduating a year early in 2017, her mission to make the classics accessible led her to doing research for podcasts like Bitesize Battles and being a historical correspondent for popular fiction authors.

In 2020 she began MoAn Inc. - a YouTube channel which aims to promote the wider education of the classics. Due to the channel’s success, Erica was named one of History Extra’s “30 Under 30” historians of 2024 and has lectured across the globe, including in the USA and Switzerland. Her debut nonfiction book, The Odyssey Effect: How Homer’s Epic Poem Shaped the World, will be released by Quarto in the summer of 2026.

Vision For The Future

As MoAn Inc. expands, Erica hopes to encourage more people to study and, more generally, read about the ancients. She believes that by getting in touch with our past, we can get a better understanding of how to move forward into the future.
